Upon this bill becoming law and until these rules take effect or until July 1, 2009, whichever comes first, a person will be deemed in compliance with statewide standards if the person complies with either: (1) The Standard (Southern) Building Code, 1999, and the Uniform Fire Code; or (2) The most recent edition of the International Building Code, 2006, and the International Fire Code, 2006.
