Companion Bill SB2675. Civil Procedure - Imposes duty, with certain exceptions, upon owner of a dog to keep dog under reasonable control and from inflicting injury upon another; imposes civil liability on the owner for breach of duty regardless of where the injury occurs. - Amends TCA Title 44, Chapter 8. Fiscal Summary for HB2828 / *SB2675 MINIMAL Bill Summary for HB2828 / *SB2675 Present law requires the owner of a dog to keep that dog under reasonable control at all times and to keep that dog from running at large. A person who breaches this duty is subject to civil liability for any damages suffered by a person who is injured by the dog while in a public place or lawfully in or on the private property of another.
