Companion Bill SB2610. DUI/DWI Offenses - Deletes punishment for offense of DUI where minor passenger is killed or suffers serious bodily injury so that driver under influence commits vehicular homicide or vehicular assault regardless of age of passenger. - Amends TCA Title 55. Fiscal Summary for HB2598 / *SB2610 MINIMAL Bill Summary for HB2598 / *SB2610 Under present law, if a person commits a DUI offense with a child under the age of 18 in the vehicle and if that child suffers serious bodily injury as a result of the DUI, the offense is a Class D felony. If the child is killed as a result of the violation, the person commits a Class C felony.
