Fiscal Summary for *SB2598 / HB2600Increase State Expenditures - $14,419,300/Incarceration* Bill Summary for *SB2598 / HB2600 Under present law, theft of property or services is a Class A misdemeanor if the value of the property or services obtained is $500 or less. Under this bill, theft of property or services valued at $500 or less would be a Class E felony, if it is the person's third or subsequent conviction for the offense.
