Fiscal Summary for *HB2494 / SB2882 Increase State Revenue - Not Significant Increase State Expenditures - Not Significant Bill Summary for *HB2494 / SB2882 Present law requires parties to a worker's compensation claim to exhaust the benefit review conference process before a party may file a civil suit in court. This bill specifies that an action prematurely filed by an employee will not be dismissed for failure to comply with the benefit review conference process and will be stayed until a conference can be held at the request of the employer.
