Companion Bill SB2899. Victims' Rights - Requires victims of violent crime, involving death of a family member or serious bodily injury, be informed of plea bargaining discussions and agreements prior to the entry of any plea agreement; requires a 48-hour waiting period between the time such victims are notified of a plea agreement and the entry of a plea agreement and between the time victims are notified of the final disposition of a case and the actual disposition of a case. - Amends TCA Title 40.
