Expresses condolences to the families and friends of Lauren Mahon, Allison Walden, Travis Cale, Justin Anderson, Emily Yelton, William Rhea, and Cassidy Pendley and offers hope for the recovery of students who were injured in the fire that occurred in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, on October 28, 2007.

Expresses gratitude for the efforts of those who responded and support for all of the students, faculty, administration, and staff at the University of South Carolina and Clemson University.
