Companion Bill SB2259. Workers' Compensation - Revises various workers' compensation provisions, including provisions regarding second injury fund assessments when death results from the injury or occupational disease and provisions governing attorney's fees. - Amends TCA Section 50-6-204 and Section 50-6-226. Fiscal Summary for *HB2307 / SB2259MINIMAL Bill Summary for *HB2307 / SB2259 This bill clarifies that in all cases of death of an employee covered by workers' compensation where the employee leaves no dependents, the maximum benefit is $20,000 payable the deceased employee's estate plus medical, hospital, and funeral benefits.
