Bill Summary for HB1305 / *SB1369

This bill requires any municipally-owned water or sewer utility, operating within the boundaries of a metropolitan government, to provide at least two water leak adjustments per customer each year. If a leak adjustment is approved by a municipally-owned water or sewer utility, one half of all excess costs over the normal billing cycle or cycles will not be charged to the customer. Each leak adjustment provided pursuant to this bill must include at least two sequential billing cycles.
