Bill Summary for HB2156 / *SB1571

This bill authorizes payment from the criminal injuries compensation fund for the full out-of-pocket expenses of forensic sexual assault examinations for the victim of any sexually-oriented crime.

This bill limits compensation under this bill to $500 and prohibits a hospital or health care profession performing such an examination from charging the victim any amount in excess of $500.
