Bill Summary for HB1933 / *SB0875

This bill provides that an action for damages for personal injury or death against a health care provider or nursing home must be brought as a medical malpractice action if the complaint alleges or involves negligent conduct that:

(1) Occurred in a nursing home; and
(2) Arises out of or bears a substantial relationship to the provision of health care by a licensed or certified health care professional.
