This bill creates a special reserve within the general fund, the Tennessee state veterans' homes reserve, to be used exclusively to assist eligible veterans in Tennessee state veterans' homes. This bill requires the Tennessee state veterans' homes board to determine eligibility for assistance from the reserve based on non-discriminatory standards. One dollar from the registration fees for motor vehicles, private and commercial motor vehicles operating for hire and transporting passengers, and freight motor vehicles will be credited to the reserve fund created by this bill.
