Companion Bill HB1014. Lottery, Scholarships and Programs - Revises pilot after-school programs funded by lottery proceeds that are geared to increasing performance of at-risk students on the ACT and SAT exams; requires additional reporting concerning such programs by the department of education and THEC. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 6, Part 7. Fiscal Summary for SB1086 / *HB1014Increase State Expenditures - Not Significant/Lottery for Education Account Bill Summary for SB1086 / *HB1014 Present law requires the department of education to establish, administer and monitor a system of competitive grants for eligible organizations providing pilot after school educational programs funded by lottery proceeds.
