Lottery, Scholarships and Programs - Redefines Tennessee HOPE foster care tuition grant awards so that award amount is reduced only by amounts received by an eligible student from scholarships and grants, and not by financial aid from loans and work-study programs. - Amends TCA Section 49-4-933. Fiscal Summary for HB0339 / *SB0073 Other Fiscal Impact - Increases the expenditure of lottery proceeds earmarked for scholarships and awards by $50,500 for FY06-07 and $50,500 for FY07-08. Bill Summary for HB0339 / *SB0073 Present law authorizes a foster child tuition grant as part of the HOPE scholarship program for certain qualified children who have been in state custody.
