Companion Bill SB1970. Lottery, Corporation - Clarifies that lottery provisions are controlling in regard to assignment of lottery prizes. - Amends TCA Section 4-51-123(c). Fiscal Summary for *HB1574 / SB1970Increase State Expenditures - Not Significant Bill Summary for *HB1574 / SB1970 Under the present law provisions governing the lottery, no prize is assignable. Any prize or any portion of a prize remaining unpaid at the death of a prize winner must be paid to the estate of the deceased prize winner or to the trustee of a trust established by the deceased prize winner as settlor. However, present law specifies that any person, pursuant to an appropriate judicial order, must be paid the prize to which a winner is entitled.
