Companion Bill HB1290. Traffic Safety - Prohibits a municipality with a population of 10,000 or less from issuing speeding tickets on interstates within the territorial limits of such municipality. - Amends TCA Title 55, Chapter 10, Part 3. Revenues - Exceeds $250,000 Bill Summary for *SB0348 / HB1290 Under present law, any municipality with a population of 10,000 or less that is responsible for enforcing traffic laws on portions of the interstate highway system lying inside the jurisdiction of the municipality must comply with the rules promulgated by the commissioner of safety to regulate enforcement of traffic laws.
