Fiscal Summary for *HB0237 / SB1164(Corrected) Increase State Expenditures - $78,000 One-Time Bill Summary for *HB0237 / SB1164 This bill authorizes the commissioner of health to study the effectiveness of pulse oximetry screening for newborns in a pilot project at hospitals in one of the grand divisions of this state. In order to effectuate the pilot program, this bill authorizes the commissioner to enter into agreements with hospitals to undertake the study and approve or secure the availability of pulse oximetry monitors in selected hospitals throughout the grand division.
