Fiscal Summary for SB0219 / *HB0164(CORRECTED) Increase State Expenditures - $26,400 / Incarceration* Bill Summary for SB0219 / *HB0164 Under present law, it is a Class E felony for any person to possess a handgun who: (1) Has been convicted of a felony involving the use or attempted use of force, violence, or a deadly weapon; or (2) Has been convicted of a felony drug offense. This bill applies present law to any person who meets the criteria of (1) or (2) and who possesses any firearm, including a rifle, shotgun, or other long gun, in addition to those persons who possess a handgun.
