Companion Bill HB1464. Ethics - Revises conflict of interest provisions applicable to career service employees. - Amends TCA Section 8-50-506. Fiscal Summary for SB2058 / *HB1464MINIMAL Bill Summary for SB2058 / *HB1464 Present law requires certain public officials to disclose conflicts of interest with the ethics commission. Under present law, the appointing authority may not require an employee in the career service to submit a disclosure statement or any financial disclosure statement, unless such employee or a member of the employee's immediate family has a financial interest with a value of more than $5,000 that would constitute a conflict of interest or a potential conflict of interest under state law or the department of personnel's policy or other departmental policy.
