Companion Bill HB0379. Ethics - Requires the Tennessee Ethics Commission to be subject to the open meetings and public records statutes, with limited exceptions. - Amends TCA Title 3, Chapter 6. Fiscal Summary for SB2021 / *HB0379 Increase State Expenditures - $10,000 Bill Summary for SB2021 / *HB0379 The present open meetings law generally requires that meetings of public entity's governing body be open to the public. Present law also requires that the ethics commission preserve the confidentiality of all commission proceedings, including records relating to a preliminary investigation.
