Companion Bill SB0737. Water - Authorizes the department of environment and conservation to regulate excess and wasteful water leakage at public water systems. - Amends TCA Title 65 and Title 68, Chapter 221. Fiscal Summary for *HB0745 / SB0737 Increase State Expenditures - Not Significant Other Fiscal Impact - There will be an increase in state revenues associated with the bill. The bill provides for fines ranging from $50 to $5,000 per day for excess water leakage. The state would incur an increase in revenues from such fines. The magnitude of such increase cannot reasonably be estimated without knowing the threshold which defines excess leakage and without knowing how much leakage is currently taking place.
