Companion Bill SB1040. Municipal Government - Requires all municipal elections, except in any county having a metropolitan form of government, to be held in conjunction with either the regular November or regular August election. - Amends TCA Title 6. Fiscal Summary for HB1929 / *SB1040Increase State Expenditures - Not Significant Increase Local Govt. Expenditures* - Less than $100,000/One-Time Decrease Local Govt. Expenditures - Exceeds $100,000/Recurring Bill Summary for HB1929 / *SB1040 This bill requires all regular municipal elections to be held on the same day as the regular August election or the regular November election. This requirement would apply in all municipalities regardless of whether the municipality is incorporated under a general law or private act charter.
