Companion Bill HB1256. Election Laws - Enacts the "Tennessee Voter Confidence Act"; requires that any voting system purchased after January 1, 2009, be a precinct-based optical scanner voting system with appropriate accommodation for persons with disabilities; requires hand count audits of 3 percent of early ballots and 3 percent of the precincts; adds various additional requirements for electronic voting machines. - Amends TCA Title 2.
