Bill Summary for HB0310 / *SB0170

Under present law, a person younger than 24 years of age who is the child of a full-time certified public school teacher may receive a 25 percent discount on tuition to any state-operated institution of higher learning. This bill extends the 25 percent discount to children of retired teachers who retired after at least 25 years of creditable service.
