Teachers, Principals and School Personnel - Extends 25 percent tuition discount at state colleges and universities for children of public school teachers and technology coordinators to children of any Tennessee public school employee. - Amends TCA Section 49-7-119.

Bill Summary for *HB0836 / SB1249

Under present law, a person younger than 24 years of age who is the child of a full-time certified public school teacher may receive a 25 percent discount on tuition to any state-operated institution of higher learning. This bill extends the 25 percent discount to children whose parent is employed in any capacity in any public school.
