Fiscal Summary for HB1228 / *SB1143 Increase State Expenditures - $425,200 Bill Summary for HB1228 / *SB1143 This bill requires the department of education to establish a pilot program to reward student achievement in the school system with the most students eligible for free and reduced price lunches pursuant to federal law. The pilot program would be implemented by August 1, 2007. The program would include up to six schools with the opportunity for participation open to students in grades three through 12.
