ON APRIL 9, 2007, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 1183, AS AMENDED.

AMENDMENT #1 maintains the present law provision whereby physicians are encouraged to report suspected domestic abuse to the department of health and also makes the reporting mandatory.

This amendment provides that its provisions will be repealed June 30, 2009.
