Domestic Relations - Allows persons to petition for grandparent visitation in general sessions courts with domestic relations jurisdiction or juvenile courts in matters involving children born out of wedlock; authorization is in addition to present authorization for such petitions to be filed in chancery and circuit courts. - Amends TCA Section 36-6-306. ON MARCH 28, 2007, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1388, AS AMENDED.
AMENDMENT #1 clarifies that this bill would authorize petitions for grandparent visitation to be presented in general sessions courts with domestic relations jurisdiction or juvenile courts in matters involving children born out of wedlock.
