Bill Summary for HB0045 / *SB0088

This bill prohibits the use of a cellular telephone when passing a school at any of the following times while children are actually going to and from school:

(1) During recess when warning flashers are in operation; and
(3) 90 minutes before the opening of a school and 90 minutes after the closing of a school.

A violation of this bill would be a Class C misdemeanor punishable only by a fine of up to $50.00.
