County Government - Authorizes Shelby County to annually increase, by resolution, any or all county fees charged pursuant to general law or private act. -

Other Fiscal Impact - The provisions of this bill will result in a permissive increase in local government revenues to Shelby County only. The total amount of fee revenue collected by Shelby County in FY06 was approximately $5,400,000. As a result, each one percent increase in fee rates in Shelby County will result in an additional $54,000. Any such increase is permissive and the exact amount of such increase will depend on the CPI for the preceding year and the decisions of the Shelby County Commission.
