HB0846 - Tennessee: Cooperatives, Telecommunications

Telecommunications - Reduces the area in which a cooperative is prohibited from providing services from an area in which another cooperative has 100,000 lines to an area in which a cooperative has 75,000 lines. - Amends TCA Title 7; Title 65 and Title 67.

Other Fiscal Impact - There may be a shift of local government revenues and expenditures from telephone cooperatives and exchanges to municipal systems and cooperatives. The amount of such shift will depend on the size and number of cooperatives or exchanges involved.
