Companion Bill SB2169. Commerce and Insurance, Dept. of - Authorizes the commissioner to assess a civil penalty of up to $1,000 per violation, not to exceed $100,000, against an insurance company for each separate violation of a statute, rule, or order, unless another civil penalty amount is specifically provided for in the applicable statute, rule, or order; amount of authorized penalty increased to $25,000 per violation, not to exceed $250,000, when person knowingly violated statute, rule, or order. - Amends TCA Title 56, Chapter 2, Part 3.
