ON JUNE 7, 2007, THE HOUSE SUBSTITUTED SENATE BILL 1911 FOR HOUSE BILL 2162, ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1911, AS AMENDED.
AMENDMENT #1 requires the special committee to study the administration of the death penalty to report its findings and recommendations to the general assembly and the governor, and cease to exist, within one year of the date on which all committee members are appointed instead of within two years of the date that this bill becomes a law.
