Companion Bill HB1287. Municipal Government - Allows municipality to exercise right to provide municipal and utility services in annexed area when municipality annexes any part of the service area of an authority. - Amends TCA Section 5-6-120. Fiscal Summary for SB1944 / *HB1287 Other Fiscal Impact - If a municipality chooses to annex such an area and provide utility services in that area, there will be a shift of local government revenues and expenditures from the utility district to the annexing municipality.
