ON MAY 7, 2007, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 1161, AS AMENDED.
AMENDMENT #1 clarifies that malicious damage to the personal property of an abused party, which is included as "abuse", includes inflicting, attempting to inflict, or threatening to inflict physical injury to any pet of an adult or minor.
