Expenditures - Not Significant Bill Summary for *HB2174 / SB2282 This bill prohibits any person from removing an electronic or radio transmitting collar from a dog without the dog owner's permission and with the intent to prevent or hinder the owner from locating the dog. A violation of this bill would be a Class B misdemeanor punishable only by fine unless the dog is lost or killed as the proximate result of the collar removal, in which case a violation would be a Class A misdemeanor punishable only by fine.
