Fiscal Summary for *SB0870 / HB1168Increase State Expenditures - $6,400 One-Time Bill Summary for *SB0870 / HB1168 This bill authorizes certified animal control agencies to capture companion animals, such as dogs, cats, hamsters, equines, and rabbits by means of sedation, using approved drugs and drug administering equipment. The drugs must be approved by the state board of veterinary medicine and may only be administered by individuals appropriately trained and competency-certified by the state veterinarian.
