Companion Bill HB1023. Aged Persons - Establishes a pilot project for home and community-based services for 200 elderly citizens in an urban county. - Amends TCA Title 71. Fiscal Summary for SB1405 / *HB1023 Increase State Expenditures - $9,840,800 Bill Summary for SB1405 / *HB1023 This bill requires the commissioner of health to enter into a grant agreement for a pilot project with Senior Citizen's, Inc. involving managed home and community-based long-term care services for elderly citizens. The pilot project would be based in a major urban county with a metropolitan form of government and a contiguous suburban county. The pilot project would only serve those persons in the project area who would be eligible for nursing home admission under the Medicaid program.
