Recognizes the historical significance of the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade to the world.

Respects the memory of those who died as a result of slavery, including through exposure to the horrors of the Middle Passage and in resistance to enslavement.

States that the House of Representatives should educate current and future generations about this crime against humanity by honoring its significance in U.S. history with appropriate programs and activities.
