H.R.47: To direct the Architect of the Capitol to establish and display within the Capitol Visitor Center a suitable exhibit which depicts the Congressional careers, accomplishments, and contributions of the 22 African-American Members of Congress who served during the Reconstruction and Post-Reconstruction Eras, and a suitable exhibit which acknowledges the use of slave labor in the construction of the Capitol.

To direct the Architect of the Capitol to establish and display within the Capitol Visitor Center a suitable exhibit which depicts the Congressional careers, accomplishments, and contributions of the 22 African-American Members of Congress who served during the Reconstruction and Post-Reconstruction Eras, and a suitable exhibit which acknowledges the use of slave labor in the construction of the Capitol. 1/4/2007--Introduced.
